The Help for Heroes Program is designed exclusively to meet the recovery needs of active duty service members and veterans dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues brought on by on-duty challenges including combat stress; repeated exposure to traumatic events; grief and loss; and family separation. These adverse or stressful scenarios often trigger trauma-related disorders including:

  • Acute stress disorder
  • Combat operational stress
  • Substance abuse disorders
  • Suicidal and homicidal ideation
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Military sexual trauma

The Help for Heroes treatment team is led by George Brandt, M.D., a retired Army Colonel and current Medical Director at Denver Springs.
